HUSHOFFICE ACOUSTIC BOOTHS: WHAT ARE THEY, AND HOW DO THEY WORK?
The acoustic office booths are unique mobile spaces for work and meetings, designed to minimise sound disturbance that prevents users from concentrating on the task at hand. Many employees are unable to focus on their work in open spaces, which not only causes tension and stress, but also contributes to the decreased efficiency.
The acoustic pods are designed in such a way as to effectively attenuate and reduce the volume of human speech and noise in the office. The acoustic booths minimise excessive sound in order to ensure adequate acoustic comfort for working. The average volume of human speech is 60-75 dB. Acoustic booths reduce this level by up to 30 dB. As a result, only about 30 dB of the sound produced in the booth is transmitted to the open office. This is the same sound level as in the case of a human whisper, which means that everyone can feel at ease and comfortable at work and nothing said in the acoustic booth can be heard or understood by anyone in the open office space.
