Capsule-shaped futuristic lounge chair with close-able front panels that allow the user to adjust the degree to which they are isolated from their office.
An ambition to put boots on the moon has long signified humanity’s resolve to conquer the impossible. The recent 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 inspired our team to conquer something iconic: a lounge chair that gives the modern person freedom, convenience, and unparalleled calm. The key to our design approach? Give the user total control over their environment. Because when we feel in control, we feel calm, even in the eye of the storm. And we can carry out both professional and private tasks with soothing focus. The design became A11: a capsule-shaped, futuristic lounge chair with sliding front panels for the user to adjust their degree of isolation from the surrounding space. “A11” for the 1969 Apollo 11 mission that successfully put boots on the moon.
A11 combines modernity with elegance. Its cylindrical form attracts attention as its upholstered, properly profiled back gives the spine ergonomic support. The comfortable lounge chair’s frame is a high-quality plate supported by a stable four-point swivel aluminum base. Its distinguishing feature, sliding front panels*, which close around the upper body, allowing users to create their ideal personal space, and enjoy a temporary respite. A circular opening at the cylindrical chair’s top maintains airflow and light access. Complete with built-in, reliable USB-ports, the A11 lounge chair provides convenience in hand with the freedom to work or relax in a comfortable personal space — unparalleled calm results.
A true soft seating lounge chair, A11 complements any contemporary space across offices, libraries, hotels, hospitals, and airports. It’s a cozy spot to sit back and reply to an email, skim a report, read a book, hold a call, or simply rest from the day’s hustle and bustle.
*A11 can be ordered with solid wool upholstered foam panels, clear plexiglass panels, or without panels.
